Information Services Group is seeking a Database senior developer specializing in relational database application development to join our development team. Potential Candidates must have experience with and are enthusiastic about developing all areas of stored procedure, PL/SQL programming. The responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Writing large scale database programs in Sybase, Oracle to facilitate both batch and real-time processing. All processes will be deployed with Unix/Linux environments; therefore a working understanding of Unix/Linux is required.
All potential candidates must be able to work in a dynamic team environment which includes developers working with different technologies (other than database such as UNIX shell script, autosys job scheduling) across multiple regions, and be able to integrate their application components with other team members. This is NOT a lead or architect position.
Required Skill :
Strong hands on experience with RDBMS: Oracle, Sybase (9+ years)
SQL, PL/SQL, SQL*Loader
Stored Procedures, Packages working in multi-threaded environment
UNIX, Shell Scripting
Experience with database consolidation and integration development projects
Expertise in relational database design
Solid experience in data analysis, data modeling and SQL performance tuning
Work with the ISG Reference Data BA and tech leads to understand requirements and team architect to drive technical solutions
Comply with mandated policies and procedures and contribute in procedural improvements
Experience of delivering projects as part of a cross location team
Problem solving skills when addressing and resolving issues, assessing possible systems impacts and recommending technical solutions
Conduct code walk-thru of systems solutions to ensure design quality and consistency
Utilize technical skills to design develop and test technical solutions to business
Improve, automate, maintain and support existing batch processes
Skills that are a plus :
Prior Banking/Reference Data experience across Accounts
