CGI is seeking a Big Data Architect to help a strategic Financial Services customer build a next gen surveillance model for risk mitigation. In this role, you will apply broad knowledge of current machine learning and statistical modeling methods and an understanding of how such methods are applied to compliance, specifically in the Financial Services industry. You will work in a complex, multi-functional, cross-platform domain and will apply expertise in data science.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
Experience in manipulating large datasets
Understanding of trader and employee compliance in the Financial Services industry.
Demonstrated experience in leading manipulation of large datasets to successful conclusions
Strong Programming skills (such as Hadoop MapReduce or other big data frameworks)
Experience with Statistical modeling (like Jupyter, python or R)
Relevant experience working in the Financial Services industry
Proficiency in statistical analysis ,quantitative analytics, forecasting/predictive analytics
Creating automated anomaly detection systems and constant tracking of its performance
Identifies what data is available and relevant, including internal and external data sources, leveraging new data collection processes such as smart meters
Experienced in effectively communicating with and positively influencing diverse stakeholders and team members
Good oral and written communication skills
Structured in approach and well-organized
Works with IT teams to support data collection, integration, and retention requirements based on the input collected with the business.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
3-5 years of relevant quantitative and qualitative research and analytics experience.
3+ years of experience in building machine models in R, Python or SAS , using techniques such as Random Forest, ANN, SVM, logistic regression.
Hands-on expertise with SQL databases such as Oracle is required.
Knowledge of implementing streaming models (dynamic / incremental models) such as streaming K-means and Streaming Random Forest is desired.
Ability to take ownership, work under pressure and meet deadlines on time
Team player willing to work in an international environment and be part of a global team
Works effectively in a dynamic environment with changing priorities
Demonstrated experience working in a complex, global environment with team members who are located in multiple physical locations and across time zones.
Exceptional analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to work in agile environment..

Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Operations Research, Physics or other quantitative discipline like Financial engineering.
