Job Skills / Requirements

We are looking for a strong confident security officer to carefully inspect, scrutinize and investigate every person, vehicle, and package coming into a highly secured area. This person must be vigilant, alert, and maintain the highest degree of professionalism at all times.

Loading Dock Duties:

  1. Routinely conduct traffic control and direct parking at the loading dock to ensure efficient use of all dock bays, and parking areas.

  2. Monitors all deliveries, service vehicles, and vendor personnel to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

  3. Conduct routine and intermittent patrols of loading dock areas, critical infrastructure and secured areas. Periodically observe activity at exterior of building to include sidewalks and drive lanes near dock area.

  4. Ensures only authorized personnel occupy assigned areas of the loading dock, in accordance with established policies, procedures, and client directives. Issues parking violations to unauthorized vehicles as appropriate.


  1. High school diploma or equivalent.

  2. Must be at least 21 years of age.

  3. Good working knowledge of security operations, techniques, and best practices typically gained through at least 3-5 years of experience in a Security / Law Enforcement / Military or similar role.

  4. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the general public, including the completion of reports, logs, and notifications.

  5. Perform assigned duties in a professional manner, making appropriate decisions within policy and procedural limits.

  6. Must have a CT Guard security license.

  7. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.


Work is performed for an assigned property, which may consist of one or more buildings. You will work both inside and outside the building and may be exposed to a variety of weather conditions, emergency situations, and terrains (i.e.: concrete, grass, asphalt, marble, etc). You will be required to stand and/or walk for periods of time, and you must have the ability to climb stairs and walk on inclined surfaces while patrolling.

This is a Monday-Friday 1500-1900

This shift pays $11.30 per hour
