Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all the departments of the facility during the overnight and act as the manager on duty. Respond to a wide variety of situations that may arise on the overnight. Accurately assess the situation and determine the correct course of action. Judgement, problem solving and decision making ability is important because things are ever changing.

  • Advises with all department supervisors and managers in the transition between the second and third shift and ensure transfer/coordination of all activities are seamless.

  • Manages the activities of all the departments of the hotel during the overnight shift. Directs staff and ensures communications and follow-up with day shift on any problems, guest requests or special requirements.

  • Frequently tours the hotel and monitors the activities of all departments.

  • Resolves customer complaints from all areas of the hotel, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible.

  • Oversee the front desk and night audit functions. Help the front desk with check-ins, check-outs and do room assignments if necessary.

  • Schedule: Sunday - Thursday nights 10pm-7am typically, Friday & Saturday based on business needs.

  • Proactively understand guests’ needs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Business Management or Hospitality. Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of reservations and property management systems

  • Knowledge of housekeeping standards and operation

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products
